Instructions
1. In a bowl, add 1 kg tengra fish, 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1/2 tbsp salt. mix well.
2. Fry these fish in 1 cup mustard oil. let these turn brown from both the sides and set aside. fry these in batches on high to medium flame.
3. Grind together 6 green chillies, 15 cloves of garlic and 2 tbsp yellow mustard seeds with little water. keep aside in a bowl.
4. In the ground paste, add 1/2 tbsp coriander powder, 1 tsp red chilli powder, 1 tsp turmeric powder, salt to taste.
5. In the same oil in which fish was fried, add 1/2 tsp fenugreek / methi seeds, 2 dried red chillies and the ground paste along with the mixed powdered spices.
6. Also add 2 medium sized sliced tomatoes and cook on medium flame till oil seperates.
7. Add 300 ml (1 glass) water. boil for 5 minutes. add fried fish, chopped coriander leaves. cover and leave it aside for 15 minutes. switch off heat and serve hot!
