How to marinate :-
1. In a bowl add chicken pieces and add the curd, ginger garlic paste, kashmiri chilli powder, half a lemon’s juice and salt to taste.
2.Mix everything well until chicken is fully coated and let it rest.
How to make chicken gravy:-
1.Heat the oil in a kadai or pan; add jeera , bay leaf, 1-2 dry chillies, 2 cloves and 2 pieces of green cardamom. let it all cracker and change the colour.
2. Add 2 tablespoons of ginger garlic paste and cook it about 1-2 minutes. let the paste gets combined with oil.
3. Now add onions to it and sauté. wait until the onions are golden brown . then add tomatoes and mix it all in. cover and cook for about 2-3 minutes on a medium flame. keep checking and sautéing.
4.Now add jeera powder, haldi powder , dhaniya powder, chilli powder and salt. give it a good mix and mash it a little.
5.Add marinated chicken pieces to it. give it a gentle mix. add a cup of water and let it cook covered for 10-12 minutes. keep sautéing occasionally.
6.When you are almost done , add a teaspoon of garam masala and mix it all again and cook for another 5-6 minutes and done.
7. Eat your chicken gravy with some rice , parathas or naans 🙂
