1. Heat oil in a wide pan. add chana dal / bengal gram, urad dal / black gram skinned, mustard seeds, red chillies, hing / asafoetida powder, onions, green chillies, curry leaves and turmeric powder.
2. Saute till onions turn transparent. now add beans. mix well and sprinkle a tablespoon water. close and cook for 2 minutes.
3. Now add salt and mix well. again, sprinkle a tablespoon of water and close and cook till done.
4. Turn off the stove and add grated coconut. done!
