1. Begin by soaking ¼ cup samak rice in 1 cup water for around 7-10 minutes.
2. Microwave this bowl for about 3 minutes. make sure to cover the bowl while doing so. let it cool.
3. Once cooled, blend this with 1 cup milk and 12-15 almonds in a blender. make sure to keep the mixture coarse.
4. Now take a pan and boil 2 cups milk.
5. Add this ground mixture and stir continuously.
6. Add sugar and cardamom powder.
7. Cook till it boils and for another 3-5 minutes.
8. Pour the phirni in an earthen glass or desired serve ware. let it cool outside for some time and then in the refrigerator.
9. Garnish with saffron strands. serve cold.
