Instructions

For the dough

1. In a bowl, add mashed potatoes, vrat ka atta, sendha namak and knead it properly until everything comes together into a smooth dough like ball. keep aside for further use.

For the filling

2. In a bowl add chopped cashew nuts, peanuts, grated coconut, sendha namak, sugar, green chillies and mix everything properly, keep aside for further use.

For assembling vrat ka pattice

3. Take a portion of the potato dough and spread in your hands and then add a heaped spoonful of the filling in the centre and close it up.

4. Now give it a proper tikki shape then roll in the desiccated coconut properly, then repeat this process with the rest of the dough.

5. To fry the pattice, heat ghee in a pan and place the prepared pattice and fry them until golden brown and crispy from both sides on medium heat.

6. Remove and serve with some curd or vrat ki chutney.

Notes

1. Sama chawal flour, sabudana flour, kuttu flour or mix of this can be used as vrat ka atta.

2. This recipe serves 2 people.
