Boondi ka Raita is a North Indian side dish variety made with spiced yogurt and crispy fried gram flour balls called boondi. Having a Mildly salty and sour taste, this side dish is very famous in the regiond of Punjab and Haryana. Vegetables like onions and cucumber might also sometimes be also added to this mixture.

Instructions

1. Combine curd and approx. ¼ cup of water in a deep bowl and mix well.

2. Add the chilli powder, chaat masala, cumin seeds powder and salt and mix well.

3. Add the boondi, coriander leaves and mix well. serve immediately.

Handy tip:

1. For soft boondi, refrigerate the raita for 15 to 20 minutes and then serve.

2. Alternatively, you can soak the boondi in enough water for 15 minutes, drain it and squeeze out the excess water and add it to the curds.
