This All India famous Snack is made up of the raw and fried Bananas. It is also called Vazhakkai Fry and is a no Garlic no Vegan Recipe.

Instructions

1. Remove the ends of the plantain, peel it and slice it.

2. Put the sliced plantain in water until needed.

3. To a bowl, add turmeric powder, kashmiri red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, pepper powder, gram flour and little water. mix it to a paste consistency.

4. Add the paste to the sliced plantian slices and mix well. every single slice should be coated with the masala. keep it aside for 30 minutes.

5. Take a wide pan, add oil for shallow frying.

6. Place the sliced plantain in the pan. fry it until they are golden brown on both sides. fry the plantain slices in batches.

7. Now pour oil to the same pan, add mustard seeds, red chilli, asafoetida powder and curry leaves.

8. Once the mustard splutters, add the fried plantain slices and toss it quickly.

9. Spicey vazhakkai fry is ready.
