1. In a grinding jar take scraped coconut, red chilli powder, salt, turmeric powder and tamarind. add sufficient water and grind to a smooth paste.
2. Take a non-stick pan. add bananas, onions, ground paste, garam masala and salt. add 1½ cups water and mix well. now put the pan on heat.
3. Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer for 8-10 minutes or till the bananas are cooked.
4. Add coconut oil, mix and further cook for a minute.
5. Transfer into a bowl and serve hot.
