Appe is one of my favourite go to breakfast options. It's wholesome, delicious and quite easy to make. You can enjoy it as breakfast or tea time snack. I add loads of veggies and nuts to it for that extra nutrition and crunch.


1. In a mixing bowl, add ragi flour, rice flour, sooji, curd and water( as needed). mix well and rest the batter for 15 minutes.

2. Now add the veggies, grated coconut, cumin, ginger, curry leaves, coriander leaves, chillies, salt and eno. mix everything properly. adjust the consistency.

3. Now grease the appe pan, add some mustard seeds in each cavity. pour in the batter, close the lid and let them cook from both the sides.

4. Serve hot with coconut chutney and sambar.
