1. Heat a pan with 1 tbsp oil. add 1/4 tsp mustard seeds. once it pops add 1 tbsp chana dal / bengal gram, 1 tbsp urad dal / black gram skinned, 2-3 chopped green chillies, a sprig of curry leaves, a pinch of hing / asafoetida and a pinch of turmeric powder. mix it and turn off flame.
2. Now add 4 tbsp freshly grated coconut and 1 cup cooked rice. mix it gently.
3. Add 3 tbsp citron juice / heralekai and a pinch of sugar. mix it, garnish with coriander leaves.
