This is a semi dry sabzi and goes very well as a side dish with chapatis or dal-rice or sambar-rice. You can also pack it in the tiffin box with some chapatis.

Instructions

1. Peel 2 medium long ridged gourd / turai and make a slit in between and keep aside.

2. For masala, you need 2 tbsp red chilli powder, 1 tsp coriander powder, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, pinch of aamchur / dried raw mango powder, salt as per taste and 1/4 cup coarsely grinded peanuts.

3) Mix everything, fill it inside the turai and cut it into small pieces. pour some water as well.

4) Then, put 1 tbsp oil in a pan and add 1 tsp mustard seeds, 1 tsp cumin seeds with a pinch of hing / asafoetida. place the stuffed turai in it.

5) Let it cook for 4-5 minutes until oil comes up.

6) Finally, it's ready to eat with chapati plus mango and limbu ka aachar.

Notes

This recipe can serve 1-2 people.
