1. Rinse and soak 1 cup moong dal / yellow split lentil for 2 hours.
2. Pressure cook for 1 whistle with salt to taste and 1 tsp turmeric powder.
3. Let the pressure release and open the lid.
4. Mash the dal, add water little by little to get a thick dal consistency.
5. Keep all the other ingredients ready for plating as we need hot dal for serving.
6. If dal is cooled, heat it in a thick bottomed pan and add water if required.
7. For plating, pour dal in a bowl. sprinkle chaat masala, pink salt and jeera powder. feel free to add any other dry masalas.
8. Add chopped onion, chopped tomatoes and chopped coriander leaves. drizzle green chutney and imli chutney.
9. Top with bhujia and pomegranate seeds. serve immediately.
