Ingredients

rice
red lentil
cinnamon
green cardamom
clove

Instructions

For khichdi

1. Soak 1 cup rice and 1/4 cup red lentils in water for half an hour.

2. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan. add 1 inch cinnamon, 2 green cardamom, 2 cloves.

3. Add 2 sliced onions and fry till they are light brown.

4. Add 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste and fry till raw smell goes.

5. Add 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, salt as required, 3 sliced green chillies, 1/4 cup coriander leaves and 1/4 cup mint leaves. mix well.

6. Add 2.5 cups water and let it boil.

7. Once it boils add soaked rice and cook the rice by closing the lid.

For til ka khatta

1. Dry roast 1/4 cup peanuts and 1/4 cup sesame seeds in a pan. once it cools, remove the skin of peanuts.

2. Grind the roasted peanuts & sesame seeds along with 2 green chillies and 2 cups water.

3. Soak lemon sized piece of tamarind in water for 15 minutes. extract tamarind juice from the soaked tamarind. strain the pulp by adding more water.

4. Mix the tamarind juice in the ground sesame seeds paste.

5. Add 2 sliced onions and salt as per taste. give it a mix.

6. For tempering, heat 3 tbsp oil in a pan, add 1 tbsp cumin seeds, 1 tbsp mustard seeds, few curry leaves, 2 dry red chillies, 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste and few chopped coriander leaves.

7. Pour the tempering over the mixture and keep it aside.

For keema

1. Add 2 tbsp oil in a cooker. fry 2 medium size sliced onions till they are light brown in colour.

2. Add 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste and cook till raw smell goes.

3. Now add 1/2 kg mutton mince, 1/4 tsp turmeric,salt as per taste, 1/2 tsp coriander powder, 1 tbsp red chilli powder and fry well.

4. Then add 1/4 tsp garam masala. add 1 sliced tomato. give a mix add few coriander leaves

5. Then add 1/4 cup water mix well.

6. Pressure cook mutton mince for 4-5 whistles or till it is cooked. once it is cooked open and if water is there cook till the water dries.

7. Garnish with coriander leaves.
